Second Grade Teacher
My name is Mrs. Mary Fenske. I live on a hog farm with my husband Mike. We have 4 children Mitchell(26), Marcus(26), Michael(24), and Madison(22). Mitchell lives with his wife and our granddaughter. They live in Holmen. Marcus lives with his wife and our grandson. They live in Oshkosh. Michael just bought a house, right down the road from us, and works for the City of Kenosha. Madison is leaving in September to do an internship at Disney World. Throughout the year your child will hear stories about activities taking place on our farm, with our kids, and our grandchildren.
I knew at a very young age that I was going to be a teacher someday. This will be my 35th year of teaching second grade. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Parkside(BA) in 1984 and from Carthage College(MA) in1990. I keep current with changes taking place in education by going back to school almost every year enrolling in either a workshop or a class that covers an important topic in regards to education.
I have found throughout my 34 years of teaching that parental involvement is a key element in any child’s education. I believe your child will receive the best education possible when you and I work together as a team.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. I’m sure that this school year will prove to be very successful and productive for your child. I will work hard to make your child's second grade year an enjoyable, memorable, and educational experience
