SCHOOL OWNED INSTRUMENT POLICY
School-owned instruments may be used by students with the understanding that the student is responsible for the care of the instrument. They are not always new but will be given to the student in good working order.
The student is responsible for purchasing miscellaneous supplies such as valve oils, reeds and books.
The student/parent must accept responsibility for covering the cost of repairs due to negligence or neglect.
When your student’s desire to stay in band has been demonstrated and you are financially able, I suggest you consider purchasing an instrument from a reputable dealer perhaps using a rent-to-own policy such as the one Breber Music offers. This will allow the school instruments to be used by the younger students who are just starting or those who cannot financially afford one anywhere else.
