The Board recognizes that staff will occasionally be absent from their school duties due to family concerns, civic responsibilities or illness. It is the Board's intention to make an effort to allow for leaves and accommodate staff absences with as little disruption to the general operations of the District as possible. Unpaid leave is not allowed for school term professional staff without the approval of administration but is not intended to be used for vacations. Abuse of this policy can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
