The agenda for each Board meeting shall be prepared in advance by the District Administrator under the direction of the President of the Board, and a copy shall be provided to each Board member at least 72 hours preceding the regular meeting except in the case of an emergency meeting. Regular meetings shall take place on District property.
Unless changed by majority vote, the order of business at regular School Board meetings shall follow the agenda. New business not on the regular School Board meeting agenda may not be discussed or acted upon, except for emergency items as allowed by law stipulating that they may be acted upon. The Board may discuss any matter raised by the public during the public comment period if such period was included in the notice of the meeting.
Items of business may be suggested by Board members, administration, faculty, other employees or citizens of the District for inclusion on the agenda. Such suggestions shall be received in the office of the District Administrator five (5) days before the meeting.
Items of business may not be suggested from the floor for discussion and/or action at that same meeting.
Complete agendas for Board meetings shall be distributed to each Board member and to local news media upon request and as indicated by state statute. Copies of the agenda will be posted at the school, District web site and in selected Trevor and Wilmot business locations.
